What Are The Conditions For Borrowing?
Up to two books and one video/DVD can be borrowed at a time for a period of two weeks. Should you wish to extend your borrowing period for a further two weeks this extension can be arranged with the librarian, providing no one else has requested the item.
If borrowing a video/DVD a $5 deposit will be required and will be refunded on the return of the borrowed item.
Your commitment to ensuring that items borrowed are returned by their due date is expected when you borrow from the EDV Library.
Library Borrowing by Post
If, as a member of EDV, you find that you cannot physically access EDV's library to pick up and return the books, at EDV's discretion, you may be able to borrow an item by post (within Australia only) for up to 28 days from the date of posting.
To take up this service option, you will need to call EDV to receive approval for a postal loan, explaining the reason of your request (this information will be treated in complete confidence).
Only one item at a time may be borrowed by post by a member, and a maximum of six items may be borrowed by post by any member in one year.
A security deposit of $30.00 will be payable in advance, which will be fully refunded if the item is returned in good condition by it's due date.
EDV will post the item out free of charge but you are responsible for the cost of postage and packaging for returning the item.
Who can borrow?
Library materials may be borrowed by:
EDV Individual/Family Membership
Cost: $44.00 per year
Access to all categories, except the professional section.
Library Only Membership (for concession card holders only)
Cost: $16.50 per year
Access to all categories, except the professional section.
EDV Professional Members
Cost: $55.00 per year
Professional Members have access to all categories of the library, including the professional section.
EDV Staff
Free membership for the period of employment.
EDV Volunteers
Free membership for their duration as volunteers.
