Do you want to receive a sponsored trip to the United States or Brazil?

Do you want the opportunity to meet world leaders like UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon?

Do you want to learn more about the world economy or sustainable development and have your work published?

Then apply to see international diplomacy in action on the Global Voices G20 & Rio+20 Australian Youth Delegations!

Global Voices is now calling for applications to attend the G8 & G20 Youth Summit in the United States and the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil.

In total there are twelve positions available and all delegates will receive a sponsored package to attend. Any young person nationwide is eligible to apply for the Rio+20 delegation.

Global Voices is a non-profit organisation seeking to promote an understanding of and participation in international diplomacy by young Australians.

Thanks to our university and corporate partnerships, all of these positions are provided at almost zero cost to the delegates. All flights, accommodation, visas, transfers, insurance, forum registration and most meal costs are covered. The costs involved in attending a pre-departure event in Canberra will also be covered.

As with all Global Voices delegations, each delegate will spend two to three months before their departure writing a research paper on an aspect related to their trip. More information is available on the Global Voices website.

Applicants will need to be:

Aged between 18 and 25 at the beginning of the delegation they apply for;
Hold or be able to obtain an Australian passport that does not expire before 31 December 2012.
