The World At Seven Billion
Are you in Year 11 or 12? Care about the our world? Want to make a difference?
UN Youth Victoria's State Conference 2012 is on its way, to be held from the 9th -12th of March.
Held at Oasis Youth Camp, the residential state conference theme will be 'The World at Seven Billion.'
The conference agenda will include a formal General Assembly Model-UN style debate, discussion based workshops and interactive advocacy sessions.
The cost of the conference, including food and accomodation, is $175.
The conference also offers the opportunity for young people to:
-engage with like-minded, inspirational youth
-gain awareness of contemporary national and international issues
-learn more about the UN
-debate, discuss and deliberate upon issues of global significance
-hone skills in public speaking, debating, diplomocy, communication and analysis
-become empowered to use these skills to make a positive impact in their communities
